Final Fantasy II

Final Fantasy II (ファイナルファンタジーII) came out for the Famicom in Japan in 1988, published by Square.

This is the original 1988 cartridge with Yoshitaka Amano's cover art. Square didn't release Final Fantasy II in English until Final Fantasy Origins on the PlayStation in 2003.

The box has light shelf wear on the edges, and the world map on the back is still sharp. There's no writing in the manual. The label is clean and the clear plastic tray is there. We haven't tested the save battery.

Will it work on my console?

Famicom cartridges have 60 pins and fit a Japanese Famicom, AV Famicom or a Famicom-compatible clone. On a NES you need a 60-to-72-pin adapter, and games with extra sound chips lose that audio through it.
