Super Donkey Kong

Super Donkey Kong (スーパードンキーコング) for the Super Famicom, released in Japan in 1994 by Nintendo. Developed by Rare.

This is the Japanese release of Donkey Kong Country.

The box shows its age: worn corners, creases along the edges and an old Japanese shop sticker on the back. The manual has creasing and wear on the spine. The cartridge is in better shape with a clean label, and the original inner tray is included. The save battery hasn't been tested.

Will it work on my console?

Plays on a Japanese Super Famicom. A European SNES has the same cartridge shape but a lockout chip, and a US SNES has plastic tabs in the slot that block Japanese cartridges, so both need a converter or a modded console. A few games also refuse to run on a 50 Hz machine.
