Original recordings made at Mississippi State Penitentiary, Parchman, USA, 1947.
First release was distributed with rice paper inner sleeves and contains a 4-page fold-out insert with background to the tracks and lyrics.

Runouts are stamped, except 'B' on side A and 'C' on side B which are etched.
